Crashes on Game Load

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1:* open nulldc
2: open any game

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
nullDC_Win32_Release-NoTrace.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I use version: 1.0.4r50

I use the following plugins:
standard plugins that came with download

On what kind of system?

My system specifications are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 2x2,6GhZ
ATI Radeon 9800

Operating System: XP
Sound Card: ac97

Please provide any additional information below:

I can get everything running fine with 1.0.3 and below butt 1.0.4 always 
craches... I suspect a Graphics Card Problem. Any help would be much appreciated
