NullDC Problem with Xp Service Pack 2 #391

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I need to download the Visual C++ 2010 runtimes to avoid a msvcp100.dll error.
But these runtimes seem to require service pack 3 for XP. Is there anyway
around this because I don't want to upgrade to SP3?

You could try compiling everything in VS2008, or compile it on VS2010 with the
toolset of every project set at v90. I think that would use the VS2008 runtimes
instead.

Or, you could just install the SP3 and be done with it.

Honestly, just get SP3. Back when I used XP, it gave me some more options and
it just seemed to make the computer seem a bit better.

Don't just download DLLs if you don't know what you're doing. This software now
requires VS2010 C++ Runtimes to be installed and there's a link to the official
installer. In case of being unable to do so, you do not meet the requirement of
this software. Furthermore, any troubles that may arise by trying to workaround
it (including those DLLs) are not an Issue for this tracker.

Other than that, that seems like forum chatter and this ain't a forum.
