Launch System Menu when BootMii launch fails. #199

I think this is a suggestion previously made with the same title, by another
person, however it was not updated anymore, maybe because it was not entirely
understood.

I have priiloader set to launch bootmii (which has a neek2o armboot.bin in its
place, starting the emunand instead).
When I remove the SD card, as expected, priiloader says bootmii was not found.
I would like to know if it is possible to, when this happens (SD card not
present), launch the System Menu instead of showing the error message.

Also, is there a place from where I can download priiloader 0.8 beta 7, as I
plan to softmod a console without Internet connection.

Thank you very much for your work on one of the best homebrew apps to ever
grace this console.

this can't be done without changing actual code.
and personally, i wouldn't want to do this change. ignoring the fact SD is
removed and the armboot was not found could cause fools to have their real nand
corrupted thinking it was emunand dont you think?
feel free to elaborate :)

as for the beta, not the dol is nowhere online. im sorry :/

Thanks for the reply, Daco.

You have a point, the error message is indeed a clear warning.

I was wondering about this, due to a more specific need, since I'm now aiming
for a minimalistic approach to softmod.
As I use emunand for everything (games, installed wiiware, saves) by booting
wiiflow from within the emunand, I have kept my wii clean (even removing hbc
and stub ios's), leaving only d2x on 249 and priiloader. When I want to run
homebrew from the sd card, I load postloader from the installed file option on
priiloader.
This way, if what I asked was possible, priiloader would skip to the system
menu, being possible to use the wii as a "normal" machine without any visual
clue of the softmod simply by removing the sd card. Well that was my
obsessive-compulsive idea of a "cleaner" approach to this lol but probably a
bad idea due to what you referred.

As for the beta availability, will you release it in the future, though?

Thanks for your time.

sorry for the late response.

im not sure what postloader can do but can't it do the same what priiloader is
doing?
load bootmii and if it can't load SM instead?

the tools should be all there to do it and you can force priiloader to load SM
(ignoring whatever settings you had set) trough magicword

well, it is beta and i know a few flaws im scared off. memory corruptions that
crash it which are way out of my league but i should indeed release it. there
is a huge need for me releasing the beta :/

Hi, I'm using priiloader ver 0.7 (rel 138) iOS 80 systemmenu 513. I get a
black screen when I start my wii. I can load priiloader by pressing reset
after power on. However my wiimotes are not sync'd so I can not navigate. does
pressing the reset button after 15 seconds of loading the priiloader still
work? Or is there another way to navigate? thanks !
