Non-Official classic controller produces lag and doesn't work #492

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Plug a non-official classic controller 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No lag and the controller should work

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the
issue on the Snes9x forum.
No

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
yes

can't help you here. buy a compatible controller.

Check this forum post.

In short, in the wiiuse library, go into classic.c and remove the  
WIIUSE_DEBUG("Classic.. to return 0; part
That worked for me.

Now see if you want to integrate the fix...

Same problem here. bought a china controller for 5 pound. Works great in VC and 
WW Games as in Wii64 emulator.
Only entering Snes9x Main Menu already causes that the Wiimote cursor and the 
input from the plugged in Classic controller both lag in the Menu...
Would be very thankful, if anyone could help me. I don't want to change my 
cheap classic controller for they're as good as the original ones...
