Unable to connect second controller #509

When I navigate to SNES9XGX, everything loads fine including the rom, but I am
unable to sync up
the second (or third or fourth) controller for multiplayer capability. I have
tried the following:

1. Syncing up wiimote before entering the Homebrew Channel
2. Trying to press "1 and 2" in the syncing manner while in SNES9XGX.

If I try to press the home button and sync controllers in HBC, it comes up with
the HBC Menu, so I
am therefore unable to sync the controllers in the Homebrew Channel.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
I am using SNES9XGX 4.1.9 for Wii.

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Yes, I downloaded the program through Homebrew Browser on my Wii, and it is the
official
release.

I'm having this same problem. I have a Wiimote with nunchucks, and it connects
fine, and I have a Gamecube controller, but it doesn't recognize it and doesn't
show up in the menu for the controllers plugged in.

I have 4.2.0.
Any fix yet?

Connect your controller and sync it in a game or the System Menu. Homebrew
can't do this.

I have exactly the sam problem and the newest version of snes9gx, but with me
is the problem with chinese remote - the one i bought from DX, not original
one. It also doesnt want to sync only chinese remote.
