save issues... #522

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.start the emulator
2.load any game
3.try to save form the menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd like to save the game, but the emulator fails to open the directory and
then it fails to create the save file.

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the
issue on the Snes9x forum.
I guess it only happens on the console version...

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
I'm using the wii version.

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
I got the emulator from the downloads page. (Snes9x GX 4.1.9.zip)

Please provide any additional information below.
When I run the emulator I receive the message: "Error opening directory!",
Retrying doesn't work, then I continue and open the directory myself.
It runs the games nicely, but when I try to save from the menu I receive the
message:"Error opening directory!", I continue but when I try to save (both
SRAM an Snapshot) I receive the message:"Error creating file".
If I close the rom and then play any rom again, the game isn't saved.

My wii is Ver. 3.4U
My emulator is in the right directory of my SD card (not locked), that I
already reformated in FAT32 after the issue, but nothing.
I also tried to use another SD card and an USB to solve the issue, but nothing.

directories:
Load folder: APPS/SNES9XGX/ROMS/
Saves folder: snes9xgx/saves
Cheats folder: snes9xgx/cheats

don't know what the issue is for you, but it's an issue on your side - not with
the app. others don't have this issue.

Just solved this issue by myself 10 minutes after posting this...
I was loading the games from the snes9xgx folder on the "apps" folder.
I had to copy the snes9xgx folder in the root of my SD and create the "saves"
and "cheats" folders by myself.
I think this is important info, and this hint can solve lots of people's
problem...
