Yoshi's Island - jerky framerate #523

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Play the first level. The framerate is constantly very low. Only in levels
with less action (like the ghost boss stage in world 2) the framerate is fine.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- The game's framerate is actually 60fps with very little lag/stuttering.
SNES9x GX makes it very jerky, as if the system cannot handle the game.

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the
issue on the Snes9x forum.
- No, works flawlessly

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
- Gamecube 4.1.8 and 4.1.9
- Problem also occurs with old versions (0.0.3) but isn't as strong as with
newer versions

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
- Official builds

Please provide any additional information below.
- Filtered or unfiltered: framerate stays low
- Using the US version of the game
- The rom worked perfectly with softdevs old build (005)

sorry can't/won't really help you with this. a lot has changed since then. also
not sure what 'softdev' build you mean - perhaps the one I put out.

seems perfectly playable to me on Wii, there may be some frame loss on GameCube
but there's not much I can do.

dborth you should improve the snes9xgx143 project as an option for the gamecube
users.
