Freeze during gameplay #593

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start Emulator
2.Start Game
3.Game locks up. Controls don't work. Neither does power button or reset.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able push buttons and play the game, but within a few seconds of
gameplay, the game controls and buttons on the Wii lockup, forcing me to hold
the power button or unplug it.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii.

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Download.

Please provide any additional information below.
I have just updated to Wii System Menu 3.4, no Bootmii installed. Just HBC.
Also, this issue occurs with FCEUltra GX, but not VBA GX.

Actually, I want to rectify something. All of the current emulators are
freezing, including VBA GX.

I'd like to note that all previous versions are working, so I'm using them now.

Have you even TRIED using 4.2.4? It runs as smooth as melted butter!

I can't reproduce this? Perhaps you have no net configured? If so there's a bug
in HBC that can cause this. It'll be fixed in the next release.

The only real "bug" I still encounter is the infamous
libogc-tinny-sound-until-you-press-the-home-button-several-times bug, which is
something that the libogc developers will hopefully look into. But honestly, I
have no clue what this dude is talking about, 4.2.4 is actually the most
perfect/stable version I've used thus far (no crashes at all) :D
