Mario Advance 4 Doesn't Work #308

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Super Mario Advance 4 (E) M5
2. Says creating data
3. Game freezes on title menu and makes odd noises.  I can go back to the 
console though.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the game to start but it freezes on main menu.

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781 -

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?

2.2.2 Wii

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?

I believe the last time was an auto-update but definitely using an official 
build.

Please provide any additional information below.

Everything else works fine, just that one game gives me a screeching noise on 
the title screen.  I let it sit for a minute on mute to see if it would go away 
but it didn't.

works great for me. perhaps you have a bad rom or a bad save file.
