Launch homebrew apps #275

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
1. Like Games and Wii channels, load launch homebrew apps as well.
2. In addition, I would like to be able to be able to view a mix of games,
channels and homebrew apps in one screen, rather than be segregated.
3. One idea is to replace the games and channel toggle, and replace with a
category toggle. The games, channels, and homebrew apps will be auto-assigned
to to default categories of "games", "channels", and "homebrew".

just use HBC

I agree with Gamewizard.
Use the HBC or WiiXplorer or whatever.

This is a Game Loader and I think it's enough if it can start Games (USB/Disc)
and (Game-)Channels.

Yes I agree, just use HBC...BUT (only if it possible)
If the current button toggles through Wiiflow to Channels to HBC apps, that
would be cool

With this we would be able to launch Hackmii, if Nintendo deleted the HBC, but
not the Channel for WiiFLow.
Or not?

Just a question regarding this request, it has been accepted, meaning we will
be able to launch .dol files from SD directly from the Wiiflow ? We will be
able to add cover to it ?

Thanks for your feedback

An alternate to my proposal above, is to have options on the "Install Game"
(rename "Install Title") screen of:
1. "Install from disk"
     a. This would work like the current "Go" button
2. "Install from file"
     a. Navigate to a homebrew Elf/Dol and create something like an ISO forwarder
     b. Navigate to a game ISO to install like installing from disk
3. "Install channel"
     a. Allow you to select from the installed channels

I just now got around to updating to r374. I am getting a DSI exception
whenever I launch homebrew apps. Any suggestion?

I tried r355, and now it does not give me that exception...any idea why the new
revisions are causing problems?

Also, is it possible to see combined games/channels/apps in a single category?
Perhaps in a later revision I cannot run?
