lets paint #383

Please provide any additional information below.
I am trying to get Let's Paint NTSC to work on my PAL 3.4E using r228 and
r254 all versions

If I use force NTSC or system default video modes I can play in red but in any
other mode I get the following message
define LOCALIZATION_EU
or set NDEV to US mode
Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome.

Sounds like a language patch is needed.

@spfletcher: Did you try a language patch? Also, does your TV support NTSC
video modes?

Anyway, I'm marking this issue invalid, since it's not a wiiflow issue.

If r-win marked it invalid, that means its confirmed working most likely and
proves its ebkac.

Played the ntsc version on a pal wiisystem without any problems
just set videomodus on ntsc
all colors are there, kids love it :)

That means that it is indeed not a wiiflow error, and that the issue is
invalid. I'm still wondering whether your TV has full NTSC support.

Did you try another loader? If, let's say, cfg loader usb is capable of
launching this correctly, we might consider the bug report again.

I can confirm the NTSC version working on my pal wii, with default game
settings.
I use IOS 249, cIOSx rev19, base 38...

Not sure but I only have this problem when I use a RGB cable, I believe its
somthing to do with NTSC wii's not outputting RGB. And PAL wii's wont output
Svideo. Get a component cable and the problem goes away.

Nope RGB is RGB (via scart socket), component is (Y, pb/cb, pr/cr) as found on
the back of hidef TV's in the form of three phono rca connectors coloured
green, blue and red respectivly.

However a few games still need to force the video mode to Pal50 to get a
picture, but video output compatability and quality is vastly inproved with a
component cable as 480p is supported on most games.
