Protontricks doesn't do anything after selecting an app #186

I'm attempting to mod cyberpunk using this tutorial: https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyber-engine-tweaks/getting-started/installing/untitled

When I run protontricks it opens the gui to select an app, but when I choose an app, nothing happens and after a 10 or so seconds the process terminates, It worked a few months ago, so I don't really know what happened in the meantime.

My system is the following:

Operating System: SteamOS 3.3.2 KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.13.0-valve21.3-1-neptune (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × AMD Custom APU 0405 Memory: 14.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Custom GPU 0405

I'm using protontricks flatpak V1.10.0

I tried to tinker around to try to fix the issue, after awhile I figured it was something I did on the OS that screwed the configuration or something along those lines and that I couldn't figure out what and reset the Steam Deck fo factory settings, deleting all my data, only to find out the issue remained.

I just wanted to add that no other apps work either, since I reset to factory settings I needed to fix some apps that were fixed in the previous months, like some RPG maker games that have no music and I needed to install something using protontricks to make it work if I'm not mistaken. A windows should pop up with some options on the GUI but nothing happens same as cyberpunk.

Not even the annoying 32bit warning pops up.

I tried to search on google for similar issues and fixes, I admit I'm not knowledgeable with linux but I'm learning I tried: using --no-brwap and I tried using another app called Flatseal to give it more permissions(I literally ticked everything on) but no good.

I tried installing using discover and then deleted the app and tried flatpak install flathub com.github.Matoking.protontricks

Using -v gives me the following results: **(deck@steamdeck ~)$ protontricks -v --gui**

After this the konsole acts weird, because I can type commands, but they don't show up while writing them, only after I press enter.

The This option is not available. Please see --help for all possible usages. error seems to originate from Zenity, which would explain why no graphical window shows up.

Another user seemed to have the same issue in #152, and they were able to solve it by setting regional settings back to default.

I figured it out, I had my SteamOs language changed to Portuguese, changed it back to En-US and it works again. Thank you for your help.
