I'm sure new features/items are not the highest priority at the moment, but I feel with all the pies added to the game we're missing out on an opportunity to annoy our friends.
Since pies are eaten with right click it'll have to require a tool to launch the pies... maybe a pie-pult or pie-bow. I figure it should have no draw time, but maybe a half second or so of cooldown. Pies do no damage but do cause a hit effect and knockback. The important part is a "Pied" debuff on the target that renders a pie splatter over their head armor for a time period... 2-4 minutes maybe? Also, 3 seconds of blindness debuff. Curable with milk or whatever like any other debuff I suppose. I think it's possible to use coloring on a grayscale sprite the way biome grass/water works to change it based on what type of pie is used, but I have no idea how that mechanic works or if it wouldn't be easier to just make a sprite for each pie.
Thus concludes my humble suggestion to help further the cause of world peace.
Thank you for your time,
