Also worth thinking about: do I even want this game to have classes? While I really like the idea of classes recontextualizing existing content (for example, Shell makes armor with poor stats but good abilities a lot more usable), the added complexity might detract from the game overall. I'm envisioning this as a comparatively simple MMO, so complexity goes against that ideal.
