Unable to switch sheep "type" #10

Hi! I'm using: Minecraft 1.12.2 with Oresheep version: 1.12.2-OreSheepMod-v4.0.3.jar on a server.

Currently we are unable to switch the sheep type by feeding them different ores. I have tested in creative and their type changes perfectly fine but in survival nothing happens when right-clicking with a block as set in the OreConfig.txt.

There is an error being thrown to the server console as follows: defineId called for: class net.minecraft.entity.passive.EntitySheep from class oresheepmod.EntityOreSheep

I hope that's of use for you, if you need any other information let me know and hopefully we can figure this out!

Thanks 99Blocks for the report! I'm not sure I understand the error yet, so I'm going to need some more information.

  1. In survival, the only way sheep can change their ore is by eating it like a normal sheep. Sometimes it takes time (1 in 1000 per game tick). The feature where you can change their ore by hand is only a creative mode feature intended for testing and speeding up the process. Is that what you are referring to?
  2. I can't tell just from the error thrown what the issue is yet. Is there a line number associated with the error or any additional lines? Perhaps you could send me your latest log from the server? Thanks!

Hope you enjoy the mod and thanks again for the error report!

Well now I just feel like a derp for not reading how the mod works properly! :)

I can throw some logs to you when I'm back at the PC for sure but if it helps, it seems to correlate with when a survival player right-clicks an ore sheep with any non-"edible" block.

Thanks for the swift response and I'll get a log ASAP.

Haha! No worries. A lot of people have been confused by how it works and I've been looking in to ways to make it more clear. Thanks for your support!

I’ve encountered the error you mentioned. I’m planning on releasing a new version within the next few weeks, so I’ll see what I can do to fix it. Thanks again for the report!

Oh no! I forgot to send the logs didn't I? :s Happy you found the error though. Keep up the good work and feel free to close this ticket whenever you're done with it :)
