Third Party Airtags #83

Companies like fresh&rebel offer third party airtag clones that are way cheaper and still work with FindMy. They do not have that short range radar location thing, and you have to add them by clicking „other items“ and not „AirTags“, but aside from that the experience is exactly the same.

How do these companies do it? Are we able to emulate what they do to allow generating our own keys for use without our own server, or is that still impossible? 👀

I think they're still licensed with Apple somehow, which is what makes them compatible with the real Find My network, without using OpenHaystack. What you can do is pair one of these with your phone, and then clone it for use with Find My Flipper like you would with a real AirTag. That's what I did with a cheap Walmart AirTag clone. It works.
