Which smoothing parameter configuration or scheme do we use in the results section? #30

I propose that we use one of the following schemes:

two iterations: medium --> light smoothing
three iterations: heavy --> medium --> light smoothing

I want to play around with the figure for Issues #33 and #32 before selecting specific values.

I'd play around with various smoothing schemes and select the best one for the main section, favouring ones with less iterations. Based on what we have seen so far, I guess this will be the heavy --> medium --> light smoothing scheme, as it performed quite a bit better than the medium --> light smoothing scheme (right?).

That sounds good. I'm going to spend the next few hours working on making the smoothing figures for the paper, and then we can go from there. That will give us a good idea of what we should use for the main results.
