Iphone 5s ERROR: Exploit failed. Device did not enter pwned DFU Mode. #87

Describe the issue

In the last three days I have tried, if calculated maybe almost 97 times. but all in vain, I found a mistake ERROR: Exploit failed. Device did not enter pwned DFU Mode. I hope you see and redesign and make more success.

have the same problem Iphone6.2(Global) in DFU mode (lsusb "Apple Mobile Device (DFU Mode)")

_Vieux-master/iPhone_4.0_64bit_10.3.3_14G60Restore.ipsw is a zip archive! Starting IPSW unzipping Continuing... IPSW found at given path... Cleaning up old files... Files cleaned. Unzipping.. Found: CPID:8960 CPRV:11 CPFM:03 SCEP:01 BDID:02 ECID:000006F6AAB63030 IBFL:1C SRTG:[iBoot-1704.10] ERROR: Exploit failed. Device did not enter pwned DFU Mode.

try more than 50 times. maybe lib error or smth else?

I think simple because there is no certainty for the iPhone 5s. It should not need to be displayed in the device support.

Try This : If you got error ERROR:Exploit failed. Device did not enter pwned DFU Mode.

  1. Reboot Device Into Normal Mode, and Do not Connect to Mac.
  2. Delete FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext and FakePCIID.kext from /L/E/
  3. Rebuild KextCache and Repair Permission.
  4. Install USBInjectAll.kext then Reboot.
  5. Open Clover Configurator, then Mount EFI Partition.
  6. open Config.plist with Clover Configurator.
  7. Klik Tab Kernel and Kext Patches. Then Add (if Empty) : a. Name = com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily Find = 83FB3F0F Replace = 83FB3F0F b. Name = com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI Find = 83F93F0F Replace = 83F93F0F
  8. Then Save and Reboot
  9. Enter Device in DFU Mode and Connect to Mac.
  10. Repeat Point 5, 6.
  11. Klik Tab Boot on Colver Configurator Then add Boot Arguments -uia_ignore_rmcf
  12. Reboot Mac Keep Device Connected.
  13. Try Vieux again, and BOOOMMM!!! 😃 😃

guys just keep trying thats what i did the exploit failed so many times i just kept trying and out of nowhere it just worked

Yes, that's what @MatthewPierson said. but that didn't work for us without changing my mac or hackintosh settings

I have do what you said steply on my Hackintosh but it seems doesn’t work. I tried more then 50 times , Error,put my 5s into DFU mode again,connect to computer then reboot,run vieux,Error.......dead loop. :-(

Is there a way to do this via OpenCore configurator? I'm having the same issue. I'm running AMD Ryzentosh (Catalina) "Exploit failed. Device did not enter DFU mode."

I have iPhone 7 ios 15.6.1 getting Device Exploit Fail error. I am using M1 Macbook Air and it appears that kext doesn't appear on m1. Should I skip with clover? or will this wok with m1?
