How to ask for help document #43

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The document at http://plone.org/documentation/how-to/ask-for-help is
referenced a lot in our IRC channel.

Despite aiming to be a more friendly version of an older document (ESR's
version) it is long winded and written in a jokey way.

Rewrite the document so it's clear at a glance how to phrase a request for
help. Use clear, large headings so people can find the relevant section
easily. Include real-life examples below (both good and bad) from our
mailing list – but change the names to protect the guilty!

I rewrote the article very concisely. Attached is the document as PDF and ODT.
If
there are some other sections or things to add on to the article I would be
glad to.
If not I will move on to another task ;)
