tablyfied version? #146

What is the feature you want?
UI customized to support larger displays like e.g. 10" tablets

How important is it to you?
very important - on a 10" tablet like e.g Google Nexus 10 parts of the UI look
very very small (e.g. titlebars where it shows statistics like New, Rev, ID, C
is hard to read - even with glasses!)

In the cards itself I had to enlarge the font-size to make it easily readable..

Do you think other people also want this feature and why?
Since tablet-computers (with larger screens than smartphones) become more and
more popular - I think a tablet-customized version would push anymemo's
popularity and would be very beneficial for tablet users like me

thanks in advance
Christian

Which version are you using? Have you tried 10 beta 1 which is a more optimized
for Android 4.0.

Hi,

thanks for introducing me to version 10 beta 1 - the GUI extensions are
great and
this version looks much better on my Nexus 10.

However, it is the same issue as with version 9.x - I feel that the
font-size
for the 'status bar' (where it says: New: 1622 Rev: 6 Id: 1197 C: Big001)
is still
too small (the new position of that bar is a clever change because it is
better
readable now but for people like me who need glasses it might still be to
small).

Same issue for the font-size of result-buttons-captions.

I'd like both settings a little larger - maybe 1 or two sizes - or for my
opinion - the
best improvement would be: give the font size some standard setting and
make it customizable
to the user (maybe via an additional setting in the options dialoges so
every user can
setup his preferred font-size or the sizes to what fits best with each
individual device)

To give you an idea how it looks on a Nexus 10 you'll find an attachement
that shows
a screenshot...

Thanks again for this great app - I use it daily and I really appreciate it
;)

sincerely
Christian

Did you forget to attach the screenshot?

I may give a try to detect the if it is running in tablet.

In AnyMemo 10, the font size is the same for tables and phones. I just use
"12dp" font size. Maybe I can try 13 or 14?

Hi,

thanks for response.

I don't know what went wrong with the screenshot....

However, you can look at it via:

http:\\www.bizoppmania.com\screenshot\Screenshot_2012-12-02-23-20-45.png

Remember, this is taken from a screen with 2560 x 1600 Pixel resolution

It may look ok on your computer which may use a lower screen resolution.

On the 2560 x 1600 Pixel resolution it looks like the status bar has got a
font-size of 7 or even lower...

On my old tablet with low resolution (I think it was 800 x 600) I used font
size
12 for question and answer - everything was good readable - on the nexus I
doubled
fontsizes for question and answer to 24 to get similar readability

The 13/14dp you suggest might work - we'll see ;)

Sincerely
Christian

Emmm, the screen shot doesn't looks small to me. Probably because I don't wear
glasses. I changed it to 14. Please let me know if it looks better.
(You might want to install the nightly build that will happen tonight or wait
for a beta 2 release)

BTW, I see you are using German translation. The translation is very outdated
since the original translator is gone :)

If you want, you can try today's nightly build here (You will need to uninstall
the free version of AnyMemo. Also if you want to go back to Beta or Market
version, you need to uninstall nightly version):

Hi,

I uninstalled the 10.1 beta

next I tried the nightly
AnyMemo-debug-2012-12-05_05:00:01-4320efe.apk<http://anymemo.info/autobuild/AnyM
emo-debug-2012-12-05_05:00:01-4320efe.apk>but
after download
it doesn't install - even when I tap on it (settings / downloads - when I
tap the filename Android doesn't offer
to install it - instead it asks: Process action with ES-Notizeditor,
HTMLViewer, Quickoffice HD - which don't
seem to me to be correct installers)

So I went back to the 10.1 beta

Please let me know when the next release is available on playstore (or will
it auto-update the 10.1 beta?)

Thanks for your efforts

Sincerely
Christian
