I'm not able to get the following Formula Part correctly rendered.

A minimization problem that occurs frequently is the minimization of a function of the form
$$
f(x)=\frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^{m}r_i(x)^2
$$

where $x\in R_n$ and $r_i: R_n→R, i=1,...,m$.
Such a minimization problem comes from curve fitting by least squares, where the $r_i$ are the residuals.
