I have problem with my modem 173-u2

    -- [GSM1] Trying to connect on /dev/ttyUSB2...
    -- [GSM1] Dongle has connected, initializing...
[Dec 13 14:42:17] ERROR[22330]: at_response.c:364 at_response_error: [GSM1] 
Getting IMSI number failed
    -- [GSM1] Error initializing Dongle
    -- [GSM1] Dongle has disconnected

asterisk*CLI> dongle cmd GSM1 AT+CIMI
[GSM1] 'AT+CIMI' device disabled

How to read IMSI code in linux?

dongle show device state GSM1

device disconnected and not handled by chan_dongle
may be enter/disable PIN1 first or insert SIM 
also dongle can be damaged in place of SIM connector and  can't reading SIM
