The button's animator sets a TMP_Style on the text whenever the button state is changed, and the only ways (afaik) to override it would be:
- Setting a new TMP_Style afterwards (it is not intended at all to create new ones at runtime)
- Adding
<color="COLORHERE">to the front of the text, which would work. But the amount of code required to hue shift all 5 button states using text is kind of unreasonable for a small visual bug - Overriding the button's animator with the
ButtonEventHandlerclass we're already using for some modlist buttons. This would require implementing new events for button disable and press to match basegame behaviour - Harmony patching some low-level TMP method related to text rendering like
TMP_Text.ReplaceOpeningStyleTag
This might not be strictly within the scope of this mod, but it's annoying me. The "Join" button and warning/error modlist button are orange instead of purple, so they don't match the rest of the panel.
Ideally the join button's color should be hueshifted to be purple. The "normal" modlist button is purple and looks fine right now, but the "error" color is pulled from the join button.
