My computer totally freeze and I need to restart IT. You can open task manager but
even if you kill all process, the computer remains frozen.

Step to reproduce, just install conemu and launch it then work, and BAM freeze.

"Last one" that us not a build number.

"Totally freeze" - had not seen anytime. And it is not "totally" if you can run task
manager, no?

Run from Win+R:

ConEmu -basic -cmd cmd /D

Freezed? Attach LogFiles

Create full memory dumps of ConEmu.exe process, upload to DropBox, post link.

It's really weird issue, sometimes I can work for 1h then freeze. What I called totally
freezed it's because even if you have access to taskmgr, you need rebooting the computer...

Maximus5 commented 9 years ago
Also, what did you mean by "freeze"? What takes CPU usage in Task manager or ProcessExplorer?
(Anti)viral software may be?

Waiting for logs and dumps.

I have kaspersky, Yes I launched several conemu to have the bug again. It's very weird,
there is no CPU/ram usage but the computer is unusable.

How often that happens?
Try to disable keyboard hooks in ConEmu settings.

It's once a day, sometimes 2,3 times. I wait till it happens again and send you the

Have you disabled keyboard hooks in ConEmu settings?

Reported by ConEmu.Maximus5 on 2014-04-09 09:19:57

Maximus5 commented 9 years ago

Yes. And save settings of course.

Also, try to run 32-bit GUI (ConEmu.exe)

When the issue happend, I see the mouse going crazy, then no more keyboard is working
at all, and I need to ctrl+alt+del then reboot...

Maximus5 commented 9 years ago
what is that feature ? I use con emu with default settings...

I the current moment I think that is another weird one of MicrosoftBugs. Because ConEmu
does not hook "system" processes, so it physically can't damange Windows input drivers.
Without MemoryDump's I can't said more.

Also, have you tried to use 32-bit ConEmu GUI?

Reported by ConEmu.Maximus5 on 2014-04-10 07:57:10

Maximus5 commented 9 years ago
The problem is all is freezed when the bug arrives so it's quite hard to take dump...

No never tried 32bit, will try it now.

... "freezed". Does it respond to mouse? If so, you may be able to create dumps from
Task Manager.

One more thought. If you can find one if the older ConEmu builds which does not cause
PC freezing, it may help to find "breaking" commit.

Yes ok. I looked at the "WindowsWeirdBug" and the option inject hk is ticked.

I will do a dump then.

if I can do a ctrl+alt+del, the task viewer wasn't showing at all...

Looks like MicrosoftBugs inside kernel, but more weird I've ever seen.

What about "update"? Misunderstand what happens with your popups.

Last thing. You said you have Kaspersky installed. How about uninstalling it temporarily?

Reported by ConEmu.Maximus5 on 2014-04-15 09:15:44

Hmm, Yes I can uninstall it... here a screen shot of the popup always come back.

What do you mean "Always"? Confirm updating to 140414, that's all.

One more question. Do you notice that behavior on the only one PC?

Maximus5 commented 9 years ago
keep asking me to update, now i removed all conemu and installed again the x86 only.
