[BUG] Can't sell items #184

Open Someone1234567 opened 10 years ago

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

Hey guys!

I'm quite new on the topic, and I encountered a problem. Basically I downloaded the last binary code of the bot and logged in, imported the cookies.

After logging in I loaded my TF2 inventory and checked some keys to sell. I've set their prices which appeared under the "Cost" column. After that I clicked the Sell Checked button and the bot started loading, and gave a lot of green pipes like if it did its job.

But in fact it didn't: the items didn't get on the market, and after the fake process it made the bot refreshed my inventory and all of the items appeared there (so steam didn't take them out).

Please help me with the issue, it's might a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

1) Login directly into the program with steam guard code. Then backup cookie file. 2) Make sure you setted all prices.

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

I tried to make a new directory and put the files there. I logged in again, and gave the guard code. Then i tried to sell items, and the same problem occured.

After that i imported the cookies, same. Restarted the program, same.

Is it might a problem that Im using a VPN?

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

(Though Im using VPN for months now, and market works pefectly in my browsers.)

Maxx53 commented 10 years ago

No issues with VPN. What about selling from other item category (trading cards, cs, dota etc.)?

As you asked me, I tried them:

I didn't succeed with any of them (however it wrote that I succesfully put them on sale). Seeing that you're reachable here, and I need a programmer, and maybe a bit more motivation for you to work on my demand: I'd need a program based on this part of your market bot.

But it's only the "half" of my needs regarding the program funcionality. I'm willing to pay a couple hundred dollars for it, and I'd need it in max 1-2 months from now.

I hope you're interested in this, and we can make a fair deal.

Debugging requires. I can't tell anything. It's cookie issue, probably. Anyway, here's short video demonstrating normal selling process: https://github.com/Maxx53/SCMBot/wiki/How-to-Sell-items-from-Inventory

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

Thanks for the video, Ill look into it.

By the way, dont know if you didnt react to the programming offer part intentionally, or not, but Id like to know if youre interested in it enough to talk about it in private (e.g. Steam) or not at all.

I don't think that one will respond to a ~x00$ offer.. At least 5-10k$ is reasonable. that's how much I would value the price for a working marketbot.

Else you will have to learn c# yourself : http://channel9.msdn.com/Series/C-Fundamentals-for-Absolute-Beginners/

First I would let him add a Monitoring for all items. So the monitoring updates all the itemprices. If a item was found with profit then automaticly buy the item. Then upscale everything with multiple accounts and proxys. If bans are getting ugly add time scheduling when the accs run.

ps. I think It would be cool for everyone if you could add itemname + price into the list instead of just the price like it is now.

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

lol Why would I ask for a market bot if there is this one for free? You get me wrong on this part. It's based on the selling part of the market, but is connected to an other part of the steam.

I'm pretty sure learning C# is cool, and I'm not dumb, but I'm quite sure I'd need a lot of experience with the language to do this...

Regarding the price: I was like "Oh Maxx is looking for donations and is a programmer on the steam field. And I need a program for approx 300-400 dollars; I should ask him, if he's interested." I think your suggested price is unreasonable with these high ban chances, unstable steam system (e.g. updated market style with buy, sell orders). But you're right, I'm not familiar with the programming prices in general.

ps.: I think though that the timed refresh with multiple accounts is a nice idea.

edit: I've made a video too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-tGe9WEZKU&feature=youtu.be

Anyway I see much potential and If maxx53 is interested he should let us know :)

What's the issue with buy, sell orders?

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

It's kind of against the goal of the market bot, isn't it? (yea I know it's not implemented on every marketable items)

nas- commented 10 years ago

I had the same problem too, I was able to sell again with the bot when i logged in the steam client

Someone1234567 commented 10 years ago

Tried it, didn't work...
