Is there a possibility for an Android app? #235

I would love this and think it would be a wonderful addition!

In short: no. (but, but can be persuaded) I have thought about rewriting Tockler to Tauri (https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri). And that will have Android binary support someday. But what do you expect from such app? Do you wish to monitor your phone app usage? And/Or do you expect it to have all your data (from the computer) so you can review your work/online time in there?

How much would you pay for such app? one time or monthly?

Ooo interesting. I would say have it monitor my phone usage. Maybe keep each device separate.

To be honest I probably wouldn't pay for an app like that because while I really like Tockler's design and way of working, ActivityWatch is free and already has an Android app, so unless Tockler had features that put it above and beyond ActivityWatch I couldn't justify paying for it. But that's just me, I'm sure there would be many people who would purchase the app!

Yep, that is a lot of work and the future upkeep. Perhaps I will do it if I get a lot of free time and a need to try out some new technology on mobile, then this project would be that. So let's keep this issue open. 🤞

There are already apps like Tockler for Android so I wouldn't bother. I use the "App Usage - Manage/Track Usage" app by AZSoft Technology Inc.

Anyway, if such an app were to be developed, I would want the usage to be separated by device. It's too messy if my Windows laptop app usage gets combined with my Android phone's app usage.
