The WRFmet.Rmd needs to not throw errors on Check which means that it can't rely on local directories or actively download files. I have change the code to be static except for the last chunk which creates a plot.
Please update this vignette to use the renamed example_PNW.rda and mention in the vignette that the plot is generated from this example dataset.
