Ingesting ARL data is on the wish list for this package but it is unclear whether that is at all reasonable. There are precious few examples of ingesting ARL data.

Some example data is currently available form Robert Solomon:
if you look in that previous link https://smoke.airfire.org/bluesky-daily/output/temp_robert/4km/ you should see some .arl files in there.
The .arl files appear to be about 1/12 the size of the WRF output.
