Sapphire (Arcade CD) does not work

It just hangs on a locked screen with some japanese text, and a lady in a bikini.

are you using the latest core and turned on the arcade setting in the analogue menu for the core?

Thank you. I was running the latest core, but your suggestion on the arcade settings solved it!
