This will involve some collaboration with @patzinak. We should work on this once the DAC characterization is setup and issues impeding the measurements are complete.

Temporarily holding off on this until we have a server dedicated to data storage that isn't slow. I'm thinking we call it data_chest, data_safe, or binary_dump ... something ridiculous.
