How does this game count gaps? #98

I understand that the "ends" of completed sections usually have their gaps count as zero but I'll run into situations where there will be like 4 empty regions and I'll slide a block over and there will still be four empty regions but then it will say 5 gaps. There should be a better explanation in the tutorial because it seems like something very simple to understand just not explained well. I don't think I'm that dumb so I'm pretty sure it's just not explained right.

BTW: This is just random, but why when I type a semicolon (:) into this response box it gives me a menu with a thumbs up, a thumbs down, the number 100, the number 1234, and an 8 ball? WTF?

Gaps penalty can be quite tricky indeed. I admit that the tutorial may lack of description in some specific cases. I'll try to address this issue. Could you please attach a screenshot of the configuration you are talking about. It would help to provide clear explanation. Thanks

phylo gap It is not very easy to understand why here is 4 gaps in the first case

Suggestion : when a gap is removing points, make that gap visible.

For instance by turning the empty space pale pink.

Thanks. We did test with the previous of the interface, but it was not conclusive. It might be better with the current interface.
