Add namelist option to choose if we want interactive figures or just PNGs #17

Over a slow network connection (ssh -X) it's not obvious the script is doing something, and eventually the figures appear. It would be nice to have an option in the config file to choose if you want interactive figures or just tell matplotlib to save the figures to the filesystem directly.
