Automating Crystal Insertion into the Laser #188

Question / Feature Request:

Is there any way to automatically insert a spent crystal into the Laser? I've tried piping these in but they go into the catalyst slot vs. the right one (under the blue meter). I've also tried placing an adjacent chest but that doesn't seem to help either. This is the only thing stopping me from having this 100% fully automated.

Hopefully I'm just missing something, but if not, I'd like to suggest this as a future enhancement. Thank you - this is a very fun mod to automate!

Hmm I may have to make it sided. One way that would work is with RFTools Control as this can access specific slots in any inventory

I didn't even think of trying RFTools Control ... which is stupid since it's what's automating the majority of the system anyway. I'll experiment with that and see if I can get it working - thanks!

EDIT: Got it working with RFTools Control - super easy! Thanks again for the help.

Has there been any more work into making this work more like vanilla furnaces, where the spent crystals are entered from a specific side or sides and catalysts are entered from a different side or set of sides?

I don't really have plans for that. I like it the way it is

What about plans to ensure that the spent crystals can only go into the correct slot and vice versa for catalysts.
