This is not something that can happen. The generator keeps its power forever unless something connected to the generator is draining power
I can try to disconnect it from the power network and see if it is still happening. Then report back to you. If it keeps happening then I'll know it's an issue with the reactor/version I'm using (I'm on the DireWolf20 pack for 1.10) and not me kicking up a machine which I forgot about. I'll try it.
Thanks for your reply. At least I know it's not intended behavior. So either a bug or me being forgetful (which is possible)
Something I have noticed is while the Generator has an internal storage for power after a bit that power seems to simply discharge from the buffer. In my setup I got 2 EnderIO basic capacitors, some machines and a screen controller from RFtools. The screen controller is the only one which constantly drain power (about 14 RF/t). I managed to make a pretty good crystal which gave a lot of power and not that much radiation (around 6300 according to the radiation probe). It quickly filled up my system so I turned it off. There was still over 300k RF in the generator when I turned it off. So things went along and it slowly drained (according to the RFtools power observer thingy). But then suddenly after a few minutes it started dropping way faster. But nothing had changed in the meantime. The machines were off, capacitors full and the screen controller didn't drain that much (like 1000 RF per second). So I wonder if this is an intended feature or a bug?
EDIT: So I used the RF power system tool multimeter thingy and strangely all it said was that 16-14 RF/t was drained but in fact 100-300 RF was disappearing from the generator per second. (For some reason the power in EnderIO conduits fluctuate some but only like +/- 1 but I don't think that's the issue?)
EDIT 2: Huh. After it reached 124,2k it stopped free falling and went back to a slow decline.
