something wonky with seeds and world gen #58

So I'm playing the direwolf20 1.12 modpack, version 1.10 (lost cities version 1.12-1.0.2). When I create a new world, using "Lost Cities (BoP)" - I'm using the rarecities preset, but I don't think that part matters, it also happens with a custom preset.

So basically what happens is, no matter what seed i type in, i always end up in the same exact terrain, the only thing that changes is where the cities spawn. Until I restart the game, at which point it'll be different than last time, but still the same each time I create a new world. So I think the lost cities may not be passing the seeds correctly to BoP? or something?

i was just encountering the same issue! although i had noticed this back in a 1.7 and 1.10 world. the only thing the worlds had in common were having biomes o plenty and smaller mods that add biomes like thaum and abyssal craft, as well as some sort of realistic world gen mod. took those out for my 1.12 with lost cities but the problem still occurs so many BOP is the culprit? maybe adding and removing mods permanently makes things wonky for the mods left in? i also usually dont notice the difference when i enabled lost cities realistic option as well, but i don't have anyone else to compare to. sorry, don't have anything significant to add but my testimony

@icidle thanks for the reply. So basically are you saying the the problem is most likely biomes o' plenty and not the lost cities?

i believe so, since that issues existed for me without lost cities installed. not sure if it would with other random cocktails of mods that change the biomes aside from BOP though. wonder why i havent run into other people with the same issue
