XNet Connectors Don't Connect with Refined Storage Exporters #313

Open Enverex opened 6 years ago

Enverex commented 6 years ago

Issue description: XNet connectors don't seem to detect refined storage exporters as a valid thing to connect to. I'm not sure if this is an issue with XNet or with Refined Storage though so logging it here first.

Steps to reproduce: Place a Refined Storage exporter against an XNet connector, or vice versa.

Versions:

image The RS Exporters (the objects on the left) don't appear in the XNet controller either, as expected given that they're not physically connecting here.

Are these exporters actually inventories? Don't they push to an inventory? I think you need an intermediate inventory between the exporter and the xnet connector

Enverex commented 6 years ago

You may be right there, the "Interface" provides a very small inventory (and does connect properly) but the exporter doesn't.

Refined Storage is a bit of a faff to get items out of due to the restrictive nature of the exporters/interfaces and that you can't seem to just "pull" items out of it like normal inventories.

yeah, you've gotta connect an exporter to an inventory like a chest, and then put the connector on the inventory. that's the simplest way to do what you want to do. exporters can't directly interact with xnet cables/connectors

I know I'm not early... Use the Interface. It has an internal inventory.
