[Feature Request] Config option to disable need for power #493

Closed AngleWyrm10 closed 3 years ago

AngleWyrm10 commented 3 years ago

Issue description: Currently the system requires priming, where I must place a power generator adjacent the main block in order to get it started, and then remove that power generator because I don't want it there.

It's unintuitive and confusing that the device cannot perform the job of feeding itself until after it's fed, and there's no option to feed it fuel. It feels like being exposed to the mechanics of how the mod was implemented.

Steps to reproduce: Build an Xnet network.

Or watch a Youtube video, where they mostly use creative/end-game/wireless power to skip this part. What I'm saying is that I have need of your wonderful cabled logistics mod long before such power generators are available.

This is meant to be a more powerful cable system. The power requirement is very much intentional and there to stay. So sorry but not going to do this

AngleWyrm10 commented 3 years ago

Your prerogative.

I interpret this to mean my need for a cabling system before your designed timeline availability should be met by some other cabling system.

McJty commented 3 years ago

Or you can also place the power generator adjacent to the controller. No cables needed. Once it's operational and you give the controller power through it's own network you can remove that generator

Or you could add a slot for fuel.

Funny how easy it is to assign labor to other people.

Excuse me? I play Minecraft and I use my own mods. So I'm not doing this to give others with t. I do this because to me the way it works now makes perfect sense

McJty commented 3 years ago

In addition. I have tons of mods which I've made available to all of you. So please don't accuse me from avoiding labor
