iData: speed up iData instantiation #133

When loading data sets, the iData instantiation is slow, e.g:

the iLoad call is fast
the remaining steps in load is slow
same for postprocess ?

should inquire, there may be substantial improvements here.

Does not seem so obvious. Profiling does not bring any clear trend. Instantiation is rather fast. There are many checks but no real bottleneck identified yet.
