Can You do the same for DSTM miner? #1

Can You do the same for DSTM (ZM) miner? EWBF's Zcash miner isn't the fastest any more and a lot of people are using DSTM miner. It works very well on EWBF, but on DSTM does not. Miner exits at the beginning saying "can't connect".

AscendantX commented 6 years ago

DSTM dev fee goes to flypool too, so all you have to do is change the dev wallet address in server.js, line 43. You can find the address here https://github.com/Nekidtruth01/dstm-miner-NoDevFee

Backy1122 commented 6 years ago

I have already tried changing the dev wallet address in server.js, line 43, and it's not working. As I stated previously, "connect error" pops up.

pepeFF commented 6 years ago

the DSTM wallet adress is: t1NEpmfunewy9z5TogCvAhCuS3J8VWXoJNv and you will need an SSL connection like this: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:GSOhT9f5TjUJ:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic%3D2769696.0%3Bprev_next%3Dnext

uberhalit commented 6 years ago

How'd one use this repo with a miner using an SSL-connection? Both DTSM and BMINER use SSL which can't be simply hooked with MITM.

pepeFF commented 6 years ago

with LD_PRELOAD trick: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Abv60tMN-QMJ:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic%3D2801016.msg%25msg_id%25

uberhalit commented 6 years ago

Unfortunately Linux only though. Let's see if I can reverse and patch the dev's address in the executable instead. Does DSTM use just this one address?

Mcracker commented 6 years ago

Hi, guys. Both DTSM AND BMINER use SSL. This can be made. As will free time, will make! continue later

PeeJay commented 6 years ago

ps DSTM executable is packed with upx. I've been trying to reverse it as well, but I'm a noob at this stuff.

elzafir commented 6 years ago

@Mcracker This is work for DSTM or do you have to create a new script? Also, does this work if we mine other coins as well (not ZEC)?

serjkru commented 6 years ago

@Mcracker Hello, I would be appreciated if you do it for DTSM.

I will donate as well.

Thank you

Please check it out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2800586.0 Done for linux

jugi1 commented 6 years ago

Thank you for great work.

I would also like to see you make it for DSTM miner and for ZENcash support. https://zen.zhash.pro/

Trbb commented 6 years ago

i think if DSTM work no dev fee is very hard right?

holyr00d commented 6 years ago

DSTM has working windows devfee to wallet. Edited the linux version, so they say.

https://github.com/HazakiYoshimi/DSTM-equihash-miner-NO-DEV-FEE

sure bminer wont be far behind.

Do all bminer versions have ssl? trying to find old versoin to mess around with redirect cannot find any, just latest...

bruvv commented 6 years ago

bminer is fake and that link has a virus in it

holyr00d commented 6 years ago

really a virus? are you sure. comodo custom ruleset did not flag it at all as malicious. or firefox download. or google safe browsing.

If it had a virus in it comodo would have auto contained and I would have had to have granted it access to all security components. I am not endorsing the above link. I found it off the back of finding the linux version. Can you elaborate please?

edit: I have read the bitcointalk thread relating to the threats however malwarebytes does not flag it. it does flag current running miners though ewbf, xmrig, ethminer. Currently running windows safety scanner. those threats are listed on microsoft, since 2013, so should get flagged right? will post results when done.

bruvv commented 6 years ago

Could be but posting no source on an open source community site as github and than disabling the issue tab? Very suspicious.

holyr00d commented 6 years ago

while it is a little out of the ordinary everything I read about it has given me no cause for concern. main arguments against it stem from results from one site. one site!. in my experience in using and messing around with such tools a number of test sites are used. like this: maybe its not that malicious why eset have problem with this only?

https://virusscan.jotti.org/en-US/filescanjob/h3cu7yjslg,ge6137c8sq,zlyfi0ls1j

I prefer ewbf method though.

edit: hehe that "threat" is actually not HazakiYoshimis it is conatined in original zm.exe so it stems from dstm creator..... loaded up dstm zm.exe too, same results. So everyone on bitcointalk saying this is from Hazaki are being bit of noobs.

edit2: not sure if windows safety scanner flagged it. there was a variant of its name in list, not exact. flagged some other files (these files actually turned out to be private ones, not malicious to my pc) and miner, unfortunately the program did not provide the path or where these issues were located. i do not recommend running windows safety scanner. auto cleans...

edit3: the miner windows safety scanner removed was xmrig cpu exe
