Suggestion: make the master view a modal in portrait orientation #136

With the master view visible in portrait mode, the detail view still responds to touches/gestures, allowing you to switch issues, and interact with the toolbar, etc. The master view persists during these interactions, and it's not completely obvious how to dismiss/hide it. With a bit of experimentation, I found that swiping back on the master view's nav bar did the job.

Auto-hiding the master view when an issue is selected, or a touch detected over the detail view would eliminate the need for a forced gesture and keep the focus on the details.

+1 I would add that when the table view pane is hidden there should be something inserted into the repo tab bar to bring it back.

This maybe a separate issue, but the first time I rotated to portrait the table view pane was active and it appeared as if the detail view had simply not resized properly. In seeming to manifest as a bug, I can see it diverting a users instinct to figure out how to hide the pane. FWIW, whether or not the pane autohides on rotate to portrait seems to depend on what state it was in on the last rotate to landscape.

that was by design... I think if I hide the sidebar by default the hide swipe may become more discoverable... but when my big redesign happens I'll just add a button :)

Swiping should be enabled everywhere, not just in the navigation bar
