I think it makes more sense to have the nightly version be in a branch of the main repository instead of in its own repository.

Still, you're free to make your own fork to help out. Though keep in mind that the blocker right now is the GUI library. It's in the works and I'm making great progress on it. I'll let everyone know when it's ready.
