I'm hereby requesting for the community to weigh in on:
a) if this bug continues to be an issue,
-OR-
b) if it appears to have been fixed as a side effect of fixing Issue #27 and Issue #28.
Update:
Following a 2-week period requesting confirmation (or counter-confirmation) from the community, I am marking this issue as Fixed.
Note: This is a separate bug from Issue #28 which involves the drop screen remaining up.
After the Mech drops, it is not pilotable. It cannot move. In this bug, the drop screen does not remain up as in Issue #28, so selecting another mech is not an option. Disconnecting and reconnecting does not fix the issue. Suiciding is the only available option.
This bug is sometimes also accompanied by the mech-startup animation (i.e. the one that happens in the dropship). However, it happens when the mech is already on the ground.
Spectators of a mech experiencing this bug may each see the mech in a different grid square on the battle grid. This suggests that the game simulations running independently on each player's computer may have gotten out of sync.
This is a major bug. It affects gameplay.
