Many players don't understand what in-game actions contribute to their match score much beyond 'damage, kills, KMDDs, assists. plus some random stuff.' When events require X number of some of the more esoteric scoring elements such as Protected Light/Medium, Savior Kill, TAG Kill, etc., the only place the definitions of these elements are posted is in a patch notes post from years ago or a forum search that doesn't currently work.
Sometimes even PGI staff members get the definitions wrong when they're writing up event pages that use them. If their own staff has problems, they HAVE to admit that the current documentation is insufficient.
I suggest adding the definitions of each of the scoring elements to the GAME page linked at the top left of every page of MWO's website. The subsection 'GET REWARDED' is the perfect place to list them, as they are literally exactly what you do to get rewarded in a match.
