Unit Drop Deck #268

The idea behind this is to add some significant value to the Faction Warfare game style. This would also make role playing as many engage in, a more achievable option. In addition, since this is a revenue-generating feature, there is little reason for PGI not to implement it.

Unit drop decks would be used in community warfare matches. Unit Commanders will purchase them for the unit using Unit funds, and members of the unit could contribute both CBills and MC to the coffers, allowing units to purchase mechs with both CBills and MC, thus allowing for a real funds market into the game. Mechs in the unit drop decks would only be usable in Community Warfare, as well as Competition games. image Assigning a Drop Deck to a Player To assign a drop deck to a player, there should be a dropdown that will select from the unit membership names in the Unit Management section of the game. Mechs and decks would be assignable based on unit rank. This gives users reasons to remain loyal to units, and through this, unit growth would become a priority, and feeding unit coffers would also become a priority.

Essentially if the “Unit” could become or have a user associated with it, that would become the holder for the mech bays and mechs.

Faction and Competition Awards By having this feature, awards could be given to units, not just to players. Also, awards could be set up to be granted to players, but which can only be spent on unit expenses. This would make unit membership, faction warfare, and competition create more unit cohesion. This would benefit the whole community because unit activities drive larger groups to join and play.
