[ISSUE]: Burned PS1 Disks will not launch on 90k PS2 console #126

Checks

Console model

SCPH-90000

Describe the issue

When burning a ps1 disk and trying to load it the disk it is not readable on PS2 90k consoles. This has been tested on 3-4 90k consoles and all do the same thing. On very rare occasions the game will boot but this is after 50+ attempts and sometimes it will never boot again.

I would look at media or the drive you are using to burn it with. I have a 90k and have had no issues with ps1 games.

DCamish commented 2 years ago

Are these official ps1 games or burned ps1 games?

craysiii commented 2 years ago

Burned PS1 games. I've done FFVII, FFIX, and a few others.

What region is your 90k console? Me and several people have tried it with NTSC-J/PAL

craysiii commented 2 years ago

NTSC-U / 90001. That could explain some things.

@DCamish you didnt provide sticker photo and nvram backup. Did you use mechapwn 3.0 or 2.0? Does your console have a modchip (I mean do you definetly know that it doesnt?).

Does original ps1 game disks boot?

Other than that I 99% sure, that this is not mechapwn issue, but rather
