Pleqse try release candidate 4 https://github.com/MechaResearch/MechaPwn/releases/tag/3.00-rc4
Thanks! I'm gonna try it later today. I'll let you know how it goes. ;)
@Kopite11 it also looks like your gamepad is somehow incompatible. If the latest beta will not help, try to change the controller (if you have another one). Are you using DualShock 2?

Didn't know the controller could be an issue, I used a PSOne controller. I'm gonna try the regular MechaPwn again but with a DS2 controller this time ;)

don't use regular mechacon - it is quite dangerous 3.0 version much more stable and less failing.

Done! Used the 3.00-RC4 and the install completed successfully

Describe the issue
Hello! I wanted to try MechaPwn for the first time on my japanese PS2 Phat console, model SCPH-50000b, but every time I run MechaPwn, after pressing X, it briefly shows this error message that I managed to capture (for like a split second):
(Weird, because it seems to look for some backup file when I've never used MechaPwn on ths console before)
And then it goes to the screen where I have to unplug the power cable from the console. I do that, and then run MechaPwn.elf again to complete the modification, but then again, it shows the previously mentioned error message and the message to unplug the power cable. Completely stuck on some kind of loop.
I'm using FreeMCBoot 1.966 multi-install and the lastest release of MechaPwn.
