Hello I have a problem with my ps2 900001 with toxic chip that does not work in psx games or read cds I tried to change the region of the console but does not want to read ps1 cds or cds I have tried everything install opentuna, freedvdboot, installing funtuna and freemcboot none of them have worked for me I felt so excited after knowing that ps1 games would work again on the ps2 but the console only reads ps2 games I want my ps2 900001 reads all ps1,ps2 games and reads music cds, I'm sad I hope they make me a solution for it.

Won't be a good idea to get rid off of the modchip? You'll lose nothing, today modchip for DRAGON consoles is a waste, they often block FMCB and many of them don't load PS1 games correctly. Hassle with patching games? Few minutes and everything works even for nonuniversal BIOS consoles. You could consider this, even if FMCB doesn't work for your console you still can use OpenTuna. ;)
