[idea] add an entrypoint to play PS1 backups from USB #39

Not sure if doable, but it would be nice to have an option to play PS1 backups from USB pendrives, or maybe a PS1 memory card with an SD slot like the MemCard PRO.

That is not something this application is meant to do... plus there is already homebrew to do this.

You can run PS1 games directly from a hard drive or USB flash drive using Sony's official PS1 emulator that was originally used for 1 demo.

Look into POPStarter.

i knew about POPStarter already, but that is a software emulator with limited compatibily and glitches, while this could give access to the actual PS1 hardware inside the console.

It's impossible to play backups of ps1 games on ps2 anywhere but from disk drive in hardware mode. ps1 CPU in ps2 works either as HDD and USB controller for PS2 or in hardware emulation of ps1

Then i guess the only way would be via an ODE.
