Memory card not being recognized #85

Hello! Is there any way to recover a memory card that is not being recognized anymore? I, unfortunately, continued with the mechapwn 3.0 after the warning that the Freemcboot might stop working (thinking that my PS2 was going to still be able to recognize my memory card) but it doesn't. I tried using that memory card on another PS2 but it's not being recognized.

What do you mean? When you go to the browser, you cannot see memory card anymore? Or you mean that FMCB stopped to work?

Exactly! When I go to browser, the memory card is not showing anymore.

Are you sure it's not just dirty on the contacts and therefore not recognized?

Yeah, I opened it already and cleaned the contacts but it's still not being detected.

This sounds really strange, is your memory card official? However, mechapwn doesnt contain any code that can cause this. Were you successful with other homebrew before?

Yeah, it's really weird! And yes, the memory card is official. I was able to use Freemcboot prior to installing mechapwn and then I got the warning that Freemcboot could stop working but I thought the card was going to be recognized so that I could format it again but it just stopped being detected.

Is the card recognized on other console? Other cards in the same slot? Can you open it in wLaunchELF?

No, the card is not recognized on other console. I can use a different card in the same slot, and it will be recognized. Finally, I can not access to that card with wLaunchELF either.
