losing plugin settings #141

Office: Professional Plus 2013/64bit Plugin: v1 BETA-56 OS: Windows 10 Pro/64bit

Problem: At every Update of Microsoft Office(Outlook) all the Plugin Settings get lost and the default Values are set.

So your saying when Microsoft Office is updated, not when OPP is updated?

LinuxKernel1 commented 8 years ago

Yes, exactly(Microsoft Office Update).

At the moment the Settings are saved under: C:\Users\LinuxKernel1\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation\OutlookPrivacyPlugin.vsto_Path_jjmbmli11r3d40amrrohddjbq4ztc0xn\15.0.4797.1003\user.config

My current Outlook Version is: 15.0.4797.1003

My guess(CONFIRMED): It seems like OPP creates for ever new Outlook Version a new Folder and stores a new user.config in it so only the latest Settings get loaded(defaults) and previous Settings from older Outlook Versions are lost.

Can confirm. I could also see my OPP v 1.56 beta losing its default settings. And the default settings still use deprecated SHA-1 which is a bit annoying in this case since you usually don't check each time if one's personal configuration has been altered or not.
